The first contract has been awarded to PSG by Deme Offshore, the Belgium based EPCI contractor. PSG recently delivered a major foundation port marshalling scope on the same project, and this year will provide full feeder port logistical services in relation to jacket grouting operations on Moray East.
The project will be executed at a dedicated quayside facility at Invergordon, involving the handling of 14000mt of grout used during the installation of the 103 jackets currently being installed on the project, involving over 30 vessel mobilisations and will see the full suite of PSG’s logistical support services deployed in supporting the operation.
PSG have also secured two major contracts from MHI Vestas Offshore Wind in support of the WTG ( wind turbine generator ) pre-assembly works due to start at Invergordon shortly. PSG will provide a range of specialist lifting & access equipment required in the pre-assembly process and a further contract to provide heavy lift teams for the discharge and handling of WTG components as they arrive at the port in the coming weeks and months.
The project’s scope includes the heavy lift and transport of over 2000 Te of anchor chain, 180 clump weights and 15 drag anchors. As with all technically demanding projects of this nature, PSG’s engineering team are working to deliver all heavy lift and transport services with the utmost adherence to client specification and safety procedures.
